An immersive website concept exploring the relationship between art, culture, and city life through motion, atmosphere, and visual storytelling.

Overview

Art and the City is a web design project centered on the energy of urban life and the way art, music, and environment influence one another. Instead of following a standard portfolio layout, the site was designed as a digital experience shaped by movement, mood, and layered storytelling.

The goal was to make the art net website that felt immersive and cinematic while still staying clear, navigable, and intentional.

Preview

A digital space designed to feel expressive and immersive.

The website was built to feel less like a static page and more like a visual environment. The preview below shows the overall tone of the project, with a focus on cinematic mood, urban texture, and layered storytelling. I also wanted to preview some digital artwork I have done prior to this class. Overall, an fine example of a net art website.

Creative Direction

Built around motion, culture, and urban atmosphere.

The visual direction was influenced by cinematic storytelling, layered digital environments, and the feeling of a city as both a physical and emotional space.

Inspiration

City life, music, visual rhythm, and immersive digital storytelling all shaped the concept. Once I traveled around the world, I feel in love with the variety of cultres and forms of artistic expression, and found that every place/city I have explore has its own personality and ideology of creativity.

Approach

I focused on structure, contrast, pacing, and interaction to make the site feel intentional from the first scroll. This was my first website design, but I didn't want it to be plain, I wanted it to feel alive and eye catching. Nothing is worse than a bland website.

Design Goal

The goal was to create a web experience that felt editorial, expressive, and immersive without losing usability. Additionally, I wanted to learn mmore about fron-facing design, as I have been becoming more curious about UX/UI.

Reflection

This project reflects the kind of digital work I want to keep building and artistic ideologies I want to keep exploring.

Art and the City represents my interest in immersive design, visual storytelling, and building websites that feel like experiences rather than templates. It pushed me to think more intentionally about mood, interaction, and how design shapes the way someone moves through a digital space.

It also reflects the side of my creative process that is most inspired by culture, music, art, and cinematic visual worlds. Something that I truly cherish from my travels and explorations.
